Honoring Heroes: A Special Journey from Wisconsin to Washington, D.C.

As National Police Week approaches, we at Haul Bikes were again privileged to play a small role in honoring the brave men and women of law enforcement who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. This year, our journey from Wisconsin to Washington, D.C., carries not just the motorcycles of several police departments but also the spirit and memories of our fallen heroes.

On Wednesday, May 8th, at the House of Harley-Davidson in Greenfield, we loaded police motorcycles of the Milwaukee Police Department, Madison PD, Fitchburg PD, New Berlin PD, Racine PD, Dane County Sheriff’s Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Local TV news stations captured the day as we prepared these bikes for transport to the nation’s capital.

This year’s event is especially poignant as we remember Milwaukee police officer Peter Jerving, who was tragically lost last year in a gun battle with a robbery suspect. Officer Jerving’s family, alongside members of the Milwaukee Police Department, will attend the ceremonies in Washington, D.C., to honor his bravery and sacrifice.

Our trailer, adorned with the badges of local fallen heroes, serves as a tribute to Officer Jerving and many others like him. It’s a sad reminder that badges of the fallen continue to be added each year.

We are deeply honored to support this noble cause and ensure the safe transport of these symbols of duty and courage.

As we make our way to Washington, D.C., we carry with us not just the motorcycles but a heavy heart and a resolute spirit, determined to help keep the memory of these heroes alive. Join us in remembering and celebrating their lives during this week of tribute and remembrance.
